Size One 6-18 pounds (see notes below, we think it runs smaller, 4-15 pounds or so)
Size Two 18-40 pounds (we think it runs smaller, more like 15 pounds to about 30 pounds)
The snap version is here: Thirsties Duo Wrap Snap.
This cover has rise snaps. I think the size change from size one to size two might come at 15 pounds not the 18 pounds recommended but baby shapes vary of course, so weight recommendations are always a guess. Great over unpinned prefolds. Size one fits over newborn orange edge or novice green or small yellow edge prefolds. Size two fits over medium red edge, intermediate blue edge or size large brown edge Cloth-eez prefold diapers, trifolded and just placed in the wrap. If you need a cover to fit over size XL toddler prefolds, then you need the Thirsties Cover in Size Large or the even bigger Duo Wrap Size Three snaps instead.
This is a no-pinning delight, but you can fasten the diaper underneath. They also work very nicely over Workhorse diapers and other fitted or fastened diapers, too. 100% polyester with TPU laminate FREE of VOCs, PVC, phthalates, lead, and latex. Made in the USA.
Thirsties Pocket diapers shown here for color comparison. I should have put Navy and Maui in the stack also. See this picture larger on the pocket diapers page.
Hook and Loop or Snaps? Notes from Karen: Generally the snap version fits better on chubby or wide babies than the hoop and loop version does because the closure needs to stay away from the outer edge so the the edges do not contact the thighs where they can rub and potentially scratch the skin. It is best when the closure fastened more toward the center close to touching each other or crossed over each other as on a average to narrow or tall baby (versus way out on the outer edge on a wide baby). Hook and loop version may stay up better on a flat bottomed mobile baby. Baby's shape makes a difference for the fit and closure preference. Even though the pattern of the snap and hook and loop versions are the same, because the hook and loop itself is taller than snaps are (which are small vertically on it). This difference makes it fit on baby a little taller. A small difference like that is actually noticeable. Thus, for tall, narrow babies, this can be wonderful, but for short or wide babies, and usually young babies in general, we recommend snap closure instead. Caregiver preferences matter, too. If you or a caregiver has stiff fingers, little snaps might be difficult to operate while hook and loop is easier to use. It is great to have choices and be able to choose what might work best for you. Study the pictures on babies to help you decide.
