Blueberry One-Size Simplex AIO
2.5 month old, 12 pounds, lowest rise setting. It works but of course it's a lot of diaper for a young one. Anything that can fit a toddler will be a lot of fabric on a young baby, but it is very absorbent for a little one.
Made in the USA by Blueberry.
Just 8 weeks old but already 13 pounds, 8 ounces. This fits nicely with plently of growing room. The fit is snug next to the body. It does not sag away and it is not poofy. But there is a lot of absorbency to it. It's substantial.
15 month old 27 pound baby
The diaper has pocket openings on both ends that allows you to increase the diaper's absorbency by adding extra inserts (also called doublers). This pocket enables any extra stuffed-in doubler to agitate itself out in the wash. (Note from Karen: in theory it should but it might not depending on your machine and the contents of the particular wash load. Even so, they wash quite well for an all-in-one style diaper.) Half of the soaker pad is attached, while the other half also comes out through one of the pocket openings during the washing cycle.
It is made with a waterproof outer layer and 10 layers of 100% cotton birdseye fabric in the wet zone and one side of the flap has stay-dry fabric, which you can choose to put next to baby or tuck it away inside the opening.
older version with white birdseye regular cotton shown after washing. This diaper now comes in organic cotton only.
The unique thing about this diaper is that it has an attached stay-dry microfleece layer on the soaker pad that will keep your baby's bottom dry. To use this feature, simply pull out the other half of the attached soaker pad and lay it over the body of the diaper.
If you prefer all natural fabrics touching your baby's skin, simply keep the unattached portion of the soaker pad tucked inside the pocket.
