Details:
Thirsties Organic Cotton Flat is a single-ply, one-size-fits-all diaper that can be folded in numerous ways to provide customizable absorbency. We recommend washing and drying your Thirsties Organic Cotton Flat at least three times before use to rid the fibers of natural oils for maximum absorbency.
Try different folds to find the right absorbency concentration for your baby. A fan favorite and the fold we recommend due to its simplicity and performance is the pad fold. Simply pad fold your Thirsties Organic Cotton Flat, and lay it in a Thirsties Duo Wrap or Diaper Cover for a complete diaper system for your baby. Additionally, Thirsties Organic Cotton Flats may be used for additional absorbency in Thirsties Pocket Diapers. Very soft and stretchy jersey knit.
If using a fastener with our flats, please note fasteners can leave small holes that shouldn’t affect function, but the holes are not covered under our warranty. If you choose to use a fastener, rotate your flats during usage so different sides are fastened each time. Sold individually. Price is for one diaper.

Notes from Karen: What is a knit? What is a woven?
Knits have stretch to them because of how they are made. Woven do not, except a bit of give on the diagonal but that's just a give not really a stretch.
Knits can get holes from pins or Snappis. Just like you might get a hole in a knit tee shirt if you pin a name tag to it, any knit can get a hole when pierced. It's the nature of knits.
Woven fabrics have criss-crossed threads and a pin or Snappi is less likely to damage cotton because of the fact that is is a woven fabric. This item is a knit. The fact that it is knit is why it has stretch to it. Think of a knit tee shirt vs woven khaki pants, for example. 15 years ago I could say woven like jeans, but nowadays most jeans have added spandex, a synthetic, to make the woven stretchy. In the old days cotton jeans did not stretch when they were made of 100% woven twill cotton. None of our absorbency fabrics have added synthetics. Cotton means cotton at GMD.
